How the Development Works

We don't share exact release dates because plans can change. Some updates may arrive sooner and others may take longer. When something is ready, you'll see it here.
Different Places, Different Rules
Some features may differ by location because of local rules, technical limits, or regional rollout plans, so certain updates may reach some places before others.
Accounts, Payments, and Shared Content
Some of these ideas, such as pets, trivia rankings, shared art, possible premium features, and paid AI options, would involve accounts, saved data, shared content, or payments. If features like these ever launch, we'll update the Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy as needed before they go live.

We'd love to share progress more clearly, maybe with version numbers, release notes, and short lists of improvements and bug fixes. Here's a little peek at some ideas we're excited about for the chat. They're early dreams, not promises, and any of them may change, arrive in stages, or not arrive at all.
Pets
Imagine making your very own pet, free of charge, then feeding it and looking after it, a bit like the sweet virtual pet games many of us grew up loving. We're also dreaming of letting you chat with your pet using an AI model, so it can talk back like a little friend. If AI chat is added, it may have its own limits or costs, separate from the free pet. You can read how we're thinking about that in AI Tools and Fair Pricing.
Weekly Trivia Tournaments
Picture a weekly trivia tournament where you can play for fun and see how you rank, in your region or around the world. We're still working out how regions, rankings, and rewards might work.
Art Gallery
A cozy corner where artists could share their art for everyone to enjoy and like. Art would only be available to download if the artist says yes, because their wishes matter.
Watch Together
If we're able to obtain the proper licences, we'd love to offer a place to watch movies or anime, on your own or with friends. This depends completely on getting the right permissions, so it may not happen, and we won't offer anything without them.
Community Voting
We'd love to hear what you want to see next, and a voting place could be one way to do that. Votes may help guide what we build, but they can't guarantee that any particular feature will be released.
We're also wondering about extra "elite" features. If those ever happen, they could be premium or paid, but that's only an idea for now. There is no membership or payment system today, and nothing is available to purchase.
